The sad fact is that not only can drug addicts destroy their life, they can also influence the lives of innocent people around them.

The children of drug addicts are left to face the consequences of their parent’s decision. Countless of people have lost their jobs and have died due to drug addiction and its consequences. Innocent children have been abused, raped and even killed by people who are under the influence of drugs. Good news however is that a person has a choice to stay away from drugs. They can be able to understand the complexity of the destruction that drug addiction can make through the help of others. They can start to feel accepted, loved and cared for when others help them to recover.

Drug addicts are also a victim of their society. The problem could be prevented if there is genuine concern for all people from all walks of life. The solution to drug addiction is thus in the hands not only of the government but more so the people who will show genuine care towards one another.
